The nearest grocery store to Batson House is the Spar in Loring Road. It is only a short three-minute walk away further up the hill and is well-stocked with the basics (including Cook meals) There is also a small Co-op on Island Street (and another at the petrol station in nearby Malborough).
There is a large Tesco’s and a small Morrison’s in Kingsbridge (approx. 15 minute drive).
There is also a Bakery, Pasty Shack and a Butcher in Salcombe’s Fore Street. And tucked away up an alleyway off Fore Street is Mrs Cookies Salcombe where you can get fabulous Brownies and cookies.
For fantastic meat go to PW & J Coleman in town or to Aune Valley Meat Farm Shops. We suggest stopping there on your way into Salcombe, but they also deliver. They also now have a fabulous café onsite and do brilliant breakfasts.
Kingsbridge Farmers Market operates on the first and third Saturday of each month on the Quay- fantastic local produce including great fresh fish and crabs.
